The Mission of Montessori is to:  nurture, inspire, and support the development of strong, successful Montessori schools around the world, and to help build an international Montessori community of joyful, loving young people and adults, working together to build a world in which kindness, compassion, sanity, and peace can finally blossom.
---Maria Montessori

The growth and development of our school since its establishment as a Montessori Infants and Toddlers play group has been very rewarding.  The most important part of the Montessori environment are the adults who are responsible for preparing this special environment.  The adults are constantly observing the children based on a broad knowledge of child development.  When the child is ready to take on new challenges, the environment can be adjusted to meet that need.

Our Directress, Faye A. Major, has many years experience in early childhood education, holds a graduate degree in Social Welfare with an undergraduate degree in nursing.  She has earned a Montessori Teaching Diploma from NAMC and is an active member of the AMI and NAMTA.  She is a veteran and has held director's positions in both Montessori and traditional (non Montessori) preschools.

Our assistants to infancy, teachers, and primary assistants are all dedicated and committed Montessori moms and dads, with specialized credentials, who continue their education and participate in required training and voluntary Montessori refresher courses.

Our aim is to guide the children then hear a child exclaim "I can do it, myself!"
